The Aryya Mission Institution

Estd. 1886

“Only a karmayogi who is devoid of the feeling of hate or desire can be considered a true Sanyasi. It is by overcoming desires that a person is able to transcend the pair of opposites hidden within the passions and emotions.”

“Nobody can be called a “Swami” or “Sanyasi” based upon ones name or attire. “Swami” or “Sanyas” is a state of mind attained only through the practice of Kriya.”

-Rev. Babaji Maharaj

“Everything is possible by doing Kriya properly. Remember Prana (breath) is God and so concentrate on this only.”

“Due to past karma, one might find oneself treading upon a false path. However, by continuing to seek faithfully, one is bound to find the proper path.”

“Practice Kriya and become established in Kriya Paravastha (the feeling experienced after practicing Kriya).”

-Rev. Yogiraj Shyamacharan Lahiri

“In the Ganga river, one finds many crocodiles. Likewise, there are so many people who represent themselves falsely in the name of Kriya Yoga. They want to portray themselves as true Masters but verily, they have nothing to offer. A true Master never seeks fame or popularity. For he knows that it is only “ego” which perpetuates such desires.”

-Rev. Shri Panchanan Bhattacharya

“Practice Kriya regularly with faith and concentration. Whatever you want to know you shall learn through doing Kriya. Everything is possible for a devoted Kriyavan (One who practices Kriya)”.

-Rev. Shri Netai Banerjee

WELCOME

Rev. Yogacharya Shri Panchanan Bhattacharya (Chief Disciple of Rev. Yogiraj Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri ) founded The Aryya Mission Institution in 1886 in Kolkata, India. He was the first person Rev. Yogiraj Shyamacharan Lahiri permitted to initiate others into Kriya Yoga. At present, the Kriya followers of his lineage are maintaining this institution and performing the original Kriya (as given by Rev. Lahiri Babaji). The word “Aryya” denotes eternal (Sanatana) culture. In ancient times, the Aryyan culture was more evolved than other cultures and consequently pervaded over the whole globe. The Aryyan spiritual practices were characterized by nature worship, soul-worship (Atmakarma) and seeing God in all creatures. Many saints (Rishis) & seers developed this aspect of the Arryan culture which focused on womens education, morality, discipline and universal love. ‘Universal brotherhood’ was the main motto of Aryyans. They treated the whole world as one family. In order to propogate these noble ideals, Rev.Yogiraj christened this organization ‘ The Aryya Mission Institution’. The original Kriya Yoga literature, written and explained by Rev. Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri in the Bengali language, was first published by The Aryya Mission Institution between 1885 and 1910. Today, our main work is to translate these publications and make them available to all true seekers.
